Floor Reinforcement – Modern Stiffness for a Classic Mustang

Mustangs from the 1960s are cars that have captivated with their style and character for decades. However, the factory bodies of these cars were not designed to withstand the higher loads that occur during dynamic driving or with increased power. As a result, the body can deform, affecting the car’s stability, steering precision, and suspension geometry.

That is why we have developed a floor reinforcement that stabilizes the body structure, increases safety and driving comfort, while maintaining the classic appearance of Mustangs.

How does the floor reinforcement work?

The tubular floor reinforcement creates a rigid frame that stabilizes the entire body. Thanks to this, it:

  • Limits deformations
  • Allows the suspension to work with optimal geometry, improving steering precision
  • Increases the body’s resistance to loads during fast driving and road unevenness
  • Improves car control and driver safety

Materials and Technology

We used S355 structural steel for production, known for its high strength and resistance to deformation. The reinforcement elements are:

  • Laser-cut and mandrel-bent – ensuring precise fit to the body
  • TIG-welded – guaranteeing the durability and aesthetics of the welds
  • Made of tubes with a diameter of 30 x 3 mm – optimized for maximum stiffness

    The entire design has been verified using 3D scans of original Mustang bodies and FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis to ensure perfect fit and structural strength.
